falling behind...living life

As you can see, one of the results of living a busy life is not being able to keep up with it...at least in terms of updates for the world out there.  I apologize - but can't promise that it won't happen again.  I won't try to catch up on everything, but here's a few highlights from February.
  • Family traveling - Dan, Grandma + Grandpa Peltier
  • Amazing (and sometimes random) visits with friends - new and old
  • Celebrations: Great Grandpa John's birthday, Superbowl Party, Birth of our friends' little boy Oscar, early Valentine's night out for Dan + I, actual Valentine's celebration out to Mozza Mia with the ladies, and a Baby Shower.

  • Oh...not to mention both of us working full time outside of the home!
It's been busy - but I guess, looking back, not one person (with children) told me that it would be relaxing and/or boring.  So - we are doing our best to embrace the chaos and enjoy everything in between.  We've made a conscious decision to make plans, even when we're tired or feeling overwhelmed.  Because YOU PEOPLE are SO worth it!  Granted, we have to also try our hardest to find nights where Dan can optimize his sleep and get near 8 hours.  Maybe that will happen when we go on vacation - oh yeah, did I tell you we're going on vacation? Just the two of us?  To the city that NEVER sleeps - NYC?!  I am beyond thrilled and Dan is excited.  It will be out first real trip since before Adi was born (our babymoon to San Fran) - and the timing couldn't be better.  We are mostly going to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, but also just kind of going to go.

Meanwhile, Adi has been growing like a weed - well it feels like it to us anyway.  She keeps getting more teeth (now has 4 on top and 2 on the bottom) and is an expert walker - except when she's sleepy.  It was pretty bizarre to hold her hand while we walked out of daycare the other day, but I just love it!

We've been doing a lot of thinking and talking and dreaming about the future.  While we are, if nothing else, forced to think of today - we love to talk about our goals and hopes for the future.  It's so fun to imagine what Adi will be like and what she'll love and want and do.  It's crazy to imagine ourselves with grown children - planning for college, weddings, family of their own.  We don't want this moment to go too quickly, but we are eager to see the plans that have been made for us.

Ok - so here are some pictures of life as of late...
i want to lift those weights!

i love finding my own little places to play...

so silly...

who says trucks are just for boys?

everything is something to climb on

only a minor casualty for our first marker coloring experience
but we'd much rather climb on the table and try to pick all of the markers up

though the best part is snuggling at night...Cade still isn't so sure...

loving my lil' quad - mostly to do tricks!

Hope you all are doing well out there! Don't hold your breath, but we WILL be back, I promise!
