OOps - so I finally went to upload pictures from my camera last night and realized the last date of dumping pictures was sometime around the end of August.  Well, what can I say? We are busy - with life! :) 
Anyway - to be fair to those of you who actually still check this blog, I wanted to post a photo update for your viewing pleasure!  Now that Thanksgiving is upon us (THIS WEEK), and Christmas right around the corner, I'm predicting that you'll either see a LOT more updates or VERY few! No promises either way at this point.   I do hope that you all are planning time to enjoy your family and friends over the Holidays!

Ok, here we go - a few months back in review:

all the way back to Memorial Day - grill out with great friends and Adi got to go for a ride (or a few) with her taller, older friend Charlie (who can reach the pedal) 

We also celebrated Dan's 29th Birthday Sept. 25 with a date night and overnight hotel stay downtown - Grandma graciously watched Adi overnight!

 I was fortunate enough to help host a shower in early November to celebrate Baby Powers for my sister in law Jenn (on the right)!  Boy or Girl - we will find in a few short weeks!

 and welcome to the 6th Annual DUPI Thanksgiving - I had such good intentions of taking pictures, but with 19 adults & 11 little ones, you can understand that things got a little chaotic!

22 months...

today I am just feeling inspired to tell you a little bit more about Adilyn Rose version 22 months.  I've always thought it was funny to hear people identify their child as 20 something months - and thankfully I have a hard time keeping track, so I usually just say 1 & 1/2.  Soon enough she will be 2 and a Big SISTER!

though small in stature (somewhere between 19-20 lbs and less than 30"), she lacks NOTHING in personality, will, and perserverance!

• favorite foods: FRUIT (except raspberries) -- and more recently candy (mostly fruity, not so much chocolate - though she will definitely accept what she can get)
• favorite toys: BABY - any of her dolls are her go-to.  she also really enjoys books, cars, and blocks
• favorite catch-phrases: mama, dada, mommy, daddy, puppy, caaade, papa, nana, auntie, adi - she likes to identify people i guess.  peeease (please). uppy (up or help). bum (come). more. no, no, no.
• new additions to the vocab: hummus, down peease (down please)
• favorite activities: reading books, playing with mommy and daddy, eating snacks, running around, watching cartoons
• day in the life: we have been blessed to have Grandma Wendy start watching Adi full time at our house - so they keep VERY busy with story-time at the library, play time at the Y, craft time, and even swimming lessons!

Adilyn - we are even more thankful for you every day and feel so extremely blessed to call you our little girl.  We are excited to see how you care for your little baby sister in a few months and know that you will never cease to amaze us with your strong will and bright personality!
