and then she cried...

and by she, I mean me - ok, not really - but I came pretty close as the nurse had to poke my little girl in the thigh with her 2 month vaccinations.  Fortunately, we had a nice relaxing day around the house, joined by Auntie Laura.  I realized that we don't really have any photos of me and the babe, so my sis snapped a few while we were playing.  I also put Adi's first 'real outfit' on today - something other than a sleeper, which is kind of fun!  Here are a few of the shots taken by Lola.

Now for the real fun - our Dr. visit today.  Adilyn was a champ, as always during the general exam portion of the appointment.  Here are her stats:

Height: 20 & 1/4"
Head Size: 36.5cm
Weight: 7 lbs 9.5oz
That's right - all of those feedings are paying off, she's gaining weight beautifully!  The only one of those stats that makes it on the growth charts is her head size - which is good according to the Dr.  She was also very impressed that Adi has been sleeping at least 5 hours through the night!  I am equally impressed, proud of and thankful for that!
Today she had to get her 2 month shots also.  She honestly did REALLY well - she's a tough girl!  She only cried a little when the first needle pricked her and then again for the others.  Though her first cry was a bit delayed - as she spit her nuk out in a hurry!  After that, she calmed down VERY quickly and was ok as I was getting her dressed again.  The nurses were impressed and were nice enough to let me stay in the exam room to feed her after to calm her down a little more.  Overall, we walked out and you wouldn't have known that the little tike just got poked - what a champ!  Mommy, on the other hand was anxious going into it since Dan had to go meet our accountant.  I felt nervous and knew that I would HATE watching her get poked, and...I did - I almost cried when I saw the first one go in and had to look away while trying to reassure Adi.

Quite the eventful day - ended with a wonderful evening of singing at our Church.  I think Adi likes the music like her Mommy - she was lulled right to sleep!
