For those of you who know us, you may be chuckling like I am right now. When we decided to purchase this big, brown (ugly brown) box, Dan sold me on the fact that we'd be able to fix it up and move up and out in 2 years. Little did I know, that projects often take a lot longer than you plan. It's been quite a journey for us so far and I really am amazed at the work we (mostly Dan) has done on this place in the past few years, while working full time and now caring for a 1 year old.
Unfortunately, I think our "before" pictures may be lost - potentially in one more box packed away in the garage - so we'll just have to compare from our memory.
Sorry - this wasn't intended to be a house summary. However, we have been doing a few more 'updates' in our home the past couple of months. It's kind of funny - as Dan makes fun of me for regularly checking Pinterest and other Blogs for inspiration these days - I realize that this has just been in me! I grew up with parents who encouraged me to be creative and do things however I wanted - but this little voice inside of me always said "be normal"/"blend in". So I think I surrounded myself with VERY creative people and felt like I wasn't. I find that I LOVE the time I spend on these projects and have a great sense of accomplishment after completing them.
ALright, here are a couple.

attempted to make about 3 meals for the week at once...Adi finally gave up :)
Dad also created a 'submarine' out of some boxes for Adi - though she wasn't too thrilled initially
created this little wall collage from frames we already had sitting around the house!
took this blue room (that was starting to bum me out)
and brightened it up a bit - it has been almost 5 years, I was ready for a change!
oh and this project - well she's walking EVERYWHERE and into everything. may or may not have a couple more teeth coming through too! She keeps us busy, and SO happy!
Oh and we had Adi's 12 month Dr. appointment - here are her latest stats:
- Height: 27" (2%)
- Weight: 14lbs 13oz (<5%)
- Head Size: 43.5 cm (10.25%)
Dr. says Adilyn is still growing beautifully - even though she's small, she continues to track well compared to her last check-ups. We're sticking with formula until at least her 15 month check-up.
