one of the sunny days - wearing shorts, while feeding Baby Claire (such a good helper)
I was looking back on the past couple of months and feeling disappointed in the lack of excitement - only to realize that it has been just the opposite! I don't get to report on vacation in a faraway place, or nights out on the town - but I can say that we have spent the past couple of months completing a 6 year journey and that is pretty exciting and notable. As of April 29/30th we finished renovations and projects on our first and only home. The house Dan and I purchased together a month before our wedding in 2007 - the house we poured blood, sweat, and tears into to bring it from the 'fight club' status we first found it in, to our home - the house we brought our first pet together home to - the house we brought both of our daughters home to - the house we have shared many memories together with family and friends in...was put on the market to become someone else's home on April 30th.
I know it's not a done deal until everyone signs on the (many) lines, but we have sold our first and only house together after technically one day on the market. More on that story once its signed, sealed, and delivered. In the meantime, we have purchased a new place we will call home as of June 13th. We are so excited to move in and start to enjoy the neighborhood and new space. More to come on that too - just want to be clear that much of our April and May were spent doing that, so I can now get excited!
In addition to house things, we have been trying to enjoy the weather when the sun peeks through. Adi is more than brave when it comes to playing at the park - which makes my heart jump sometimes.

Baby Claire pleasantly surprised me by sleeping through the night (9pm-8:30am) on May 15! She's only had one night relapse since, so we are thinking this is the real deal!
Claire had her first overnight on May 16. Adilyn and Claire spent the night at G+G Powers house while Mom and Dad went to celebrate Bri and Tom Ericksons wedding. We even got to enjoy brunch on a patio on Sunday before the girls came back.
Claire is now 3 months old - but since there isn't a regular well visit at the Dr. until next month I am guessing she is weighing somewhere around 12 pounds. She continues to eat well and sleep at least 9 hours each night. She's much more alert these days and awake longer in between feedings during the day. She is an extremely happy baby, quick to flash anyone a smile. She is very social and loves to spend her waking hours staring into someone's eyes - especially her big sister, who happens to love the attention. We continue to be baffled at the size difference in our two girls. Claire comfortably wears her 3 month clothes (which Adi mostly wore closer to 7-9 months). We love how our girls are so different in that way, and can't wait to see more of Claire's personality. Since she was prescribed baby Zantac at her 2 month appointment, her acid reflux seems to be less painful. Her general disposition feels happier now that the medicine is starting to really work into her system.
Claire and I also made the rounds yesterday - visiting Dad at work for the first time and going to see Moms office at General Mills for a baby shower thrown by some great co workers. She was a trooper - accomplishing my goals of not making a scene or having a blow out!
And a blog post wouldn't be complete without some random photo montage madness to give you a glimpse into our life as of late...

Hope you and yours at well!
