making things hard on myself...

Well - I did it - at least I didn't pass the close of April without posting something.  That being said, I'm realizing that going a month in between posts makes things somewhat difficult on myself - at least on my memory.  I will try to capture the highlights and lowlights - but will probably miss some of the in between (hopefully pictures at least document some of that goodness).  SO, here goes...
Easter came quickly this year - rounding out the last day of March.  We spent time with friends and family during the Good Friday service at RBC (though Claire and I were in the crying room the whole time) - and were able to see Grandma Wendy at Church on Easter Sunday before heading off to Elk River for some brunch at the Hinchcliffs.  Adi had a great time playing with the rest of the little ones and Claire spent some quality time in the arms of most of the relatives.

So - the one and only sister pic from Easter inspired a re-do photo opp later in the week
Adi wasn't too pleased :)
but she came around...

later that week, we took a trip to the MN Zoo with our friends Amber, Charlie, and Elise Gilchrist. It wasn't as warm as we'd hoped, but the sun was shining and the kids got some energy out!

we've also spent a lot of time playing with our friends at some AMAZING dinner parties!
Claire has started to enjoy time on her play mat
and Adi has kind of loved my excuse to get out of the house - spending time at the many metro malls
despite our April snowstorms, Claire is all smiles!
and all snuggles

we almost burned the house down with my 29th birthday celebration french silk pie (Adi helped put the candles in)
Adi and Claire have even started to play together more
oh, did I mention the APRIL SNOWSTORMS?! Insane - but Adi loves it
then we have glimpses of Spring and get our stroller out to go for a walk and it's glorious

we even celebrated one spring walk with a trip to get cupcakes
then we're given more snow - and have to entertain ourselves doing stuff like this...
and taking selfies on mom's phone
and watching cartoons in our PJs

On the plus side - this cold weather has forced us to find other things to do inside...mostly getting our house prepared/finished to go on the market.  Start praying for a quick sale - and to find the right house for us to move into!  I'm wondering if we're crazy - but then I think back to when we bought this (our first) house...We had just graduated college, were wedding planning, starting new jobs in the 'real world', and I got baptized.  Maybe we are just crazy - either way, we're trying to embrace the chaos!

On another note - Claire is officially 2 months old!! We have her 2 month Dr. appointment tomorrow - so I will try to update with her latest stats then.
